Swedish Krona Gains on Signs Growth Is Quickening, Interest Rate Outlook

(Bloomberg) -- Sweden's krona rose on expectations
faster economic growth and further interest-rate increases will
make the Nordic currency more attractive to investors.

The Stockholm-based Riksbank, Sweden's central bank, said in
June it will probably lift its benchmark rate twice more this
year bringing it to 4 percent. Gross domestic product growth
quickened to an annual 3.6 percent in the second quarter from 3
percent in the first, the statistics office said last week.

Berkshire, Diebold, Jones Apparel, Rowan, Paychex: U.S. Stock Preview

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies
whose shares may have unusual price changes in U.S. exchanges
tomorrow. This preview includes news that broke after exchanges
closed. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names.

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK/A US): The investment company
run by billionaire investor Warren Buffett said second-quarter
profit from continuing operations increased to $1,625 a share,
helped by gains from insurance and investments. The result topped
the $1,436 estimate of Charles Gates, an analyst at Credit
Suisse. The stock fell $100 to $109,900 in regular trading.

(Bloomberg) -- The following stocks may rise or fall

DAX futures expiring in September fell 1.3 percent to 7474.5
in Frankfurt. The DAX retreated 98.46, or 1.3 percent, to 7435.67
on the Xetra electronic-trading system.

Samsung Electronics, Exporters, Oil-Dependents: South Korea Equity Preview

(Bloomberg) -- The following shares may rise or fall
in South Korea. Prices refer to the previous close. This preview
includes news announced after markets shut yesterday. Stock

The Kospi index rose 1.3 percent to 1,876.80. The Kosdaq rose
1.6 percent to 798.86. Kospi 200 futures expiring in September
increased 1 percent to 236.00, while the underlying index rose 1.3
percent to 236.91.

Nickel Heads for 2nd Weekly Drop in London on Stockpile Gain; Lead Rises

(Bloomberg) -- Nickel headed for a second
consecutive weekly decline as stockpiles of the metal rise,
expanding supply. Lead increased and copper dropped.

Inventories of nickel tracked by the London Metal Exchange
grew 330 metric tons to 15,138 tons, the exchange said today in
a daily report. Stockpiles have risen fivefold since Feb. 6,
when they were at a 15-year low.

Dow Jones, Faro, Fresh Del Monte, IndyMac, Midwest Air: U.S. Equity Movers

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies
whose shares are having unusual price changes in U.S. exchanges.
Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names. Share
prices are as of 1:10 p.m. in New York.

Aftermarket Technology Corp. (ATAC US) rose the most since
January 2001, jumping $6.75, or 25 percent, to $33.24. The car-
parts maker increased its 2007 forecast, saying it expects to
earn $1.55 to $1.70 a share. The company earlier predicted profit
of as much as $1.55.

Barloworld to spin off, list coatings unit

(Reuters) - South African industrial group Barloworld will list its coatings unit on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange before the end of 2007, it said on Tuesday.

Barloworld, which markets Caterpillar earth-moving machines and Avis car hire, has said it plans to focus on its equipment, motor, materials handling and logistics divisions, and is disposing of its other units.

UPDATE 1-UK's Ultra H1 underlying profit rises 7 pct

(Reuters) - Operating profit, defined as earnings before interest, taxes
and amortisation on acquisitions, rose to 27.0 million pounds
, the company said in a statement to the London
Stock Exchange.
Citing its broad range of activities in both the defence and
civil sectors as well as its growing order book, Chief Executive
Douglas Caster said in the statement: "These give an excellent
basis for further progress in the medium term despite the
continuing currency headwind."




Ultra's order book advanced 3.8 percent to 574.8 million
pounds.

South Korea Stocks Rise, Erasing Earlier Losses; Hynix Semiconductor Gains

(Bloomberg) -- South Korean stocks rose, snapping a
two-day fall that had wiped out $68 billion in market value.
Technology companies rose, led by Hynix Semiconductor Inc., after
Shinyoung Securities Co. lifted its price estimate on higher chip
prices.

Stocks also rose after a government report showed South
Korea's industrial production increased almost twice as much as
expected, reinforcing speculation economic growth will speed up.
Posco advanced.

Ten-Year Treasury Yields Near 10-Week Low as Asia Stocks Follow U.S. Lower

(Bloomberg) -- Treasuries were little changed, with
10-year note yields near a 10-week low, as Asian stock markets
slumped because investors are shunning riskier assets.

The securities look set to add to last week's biggest gain
since the period ended Sept. 22 on concern a U.S. housing market
slowdown and defaults on subprime mortgages will weigh on the
broader economy. Japan's equity markets led the region lower,
with the Nikkei 225 Stock Average declining more than 1 percent.

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI IJ): Indonesia's biggest
lender by market value said profit in the first half rose 17
percent as it expanded lending to companies and consumers in an
accelerating economy. Net income increased to 2.36 trillion
rupiah ($255 million) in the six months ended June 30, from 2.01
trillion rupiah a year earlier. The shares fell 200 rupiah, or
3.2 percent, to 6,100.

UPDATE 1-Hubbell earnings jump as cost-cutting steps pay off

(Reuters) - Hubbell's Class A shares were trading up 8 percent at
$59.30, after hitting a year-high of $60.40 earlier on the New
York Stock Exchange.




In a slower residential market, Hubbell has been focusing
on improving its profits through cutting costs, boosting prices
and enhancing productivity.

Copper Rises as Global Inventories Drop, Signaling Demand Outpaces Supply

(Bloomberg) -- Copper rebounded in New York after
global stockpiles of the metal declined, renewing supply
concerns.

Inventories tracked by the London Metal Exchange dropped
275 metric tons, or 0.3 percent, to 101,125 tons. Stockpiles
have tumbled 45 percent this year as imports surged in China,
the biggest consumer of the metal used in pipes and wires.
Before today, the price had gained 27 percent in 2007 as
worldwide demand outpaced mine output.

Nymex Gas Tumbles as Mild Weather Limits U.S. Demand for Abundant Supplies

(Bloomberg) -- Natural gas plunged in New York as
mild weather in much of the U.S. dulled electricity demand for
cooling needs, allowing inventories of the fuel to build toward a
record.

Stockpiles last week probably rose 73 billion cubic feet,
putting levels above year-earlier supplies for this time of year,
said Jason Schenker, an economist at Wachovia Corp. in Charlotte,
North Carolina.

EOG Resources, Netflix, Quicksilver Resources, Saia: U.S. Equity Movers

(Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies

Arrow International Inc. (ARRO US) rose $6.46, or 17
percent, to $44.25. Teleflex Inc. (TFX US) said it agreed to
acquire Arrow for $2 billion, adding products for critical and
cardiac care. Under the agreement approved by both companies'
boards, holders of Arrow would get $45.50 a share, 20 percent
more than the stock's closing price July 20, the companies said
in a statement. Teleflex rose fell 1 cent to $85.29.
